A celebration – Japan and the Culture of the Four Seasons: Nature, Literature, and the Arts

This is not an easy book to read. The intent of this book is excellent. The scope covered to examine the relationship between the four seasons in Japan to the celebration of the changes in the seasons in Japanese literature and arts is a fascinating topic.

Unfortunately the pictures are in black and white. They are also too small. The text also needs clearer explanations for the non-experts. For lack of a good alternative book on this topic I would still recommend this book. But read it slowly to be able to digest its contents.
