From this book, we know the men and women who negotiated behind the headlines and the politicians who get the limelight. Reading this book in 2018 one can’t help but feel that the doomsday prophecy by the author is over the top. HK is ever prosperous and that is a testimony to its Chinese inhabitants and a vibrant expatriate community.
