Introductory book – Shakespeare’s Restless World: An Unexpected History in Twenty Objects

The title of this book promises much. But this book touches the surface only. It is an introductory book on aspects of Shakespeare and the world he inhabited. As an introductory book, it is also not an easy read, as it presupposes the reader is familiar with the lines of the plays of the Bard of Avon.

Readers familiar with the Bard, like me with 15 books, may wish to skip this book.
