The origins of the Arab-Israeli conflict

I have visited the Holy Land twice, on March 2007 and again in Nov 2017. The middle east has always been an area of special interest to me.

Most historians agree the genesis of the Palestinians and Israeli problems can be traced back to the British. At the end of the First World War / the Great War / the War to End all Wars the British entered into 3 agreements with 3 different parties that were incompatible with each other.

All 3 agreements involved the carving out of the Ottoman empire, then known as the Sick Man of Europe.

Palestine was promised to Sharif Hussein of Mecca in Oct 1915. Palestine was also agreed to be under an international administration under the secretive 1916 Sykes-Picot agreement signed by the British and the French, with the consent of the Tsar of Russia. Palestine was also promised to the Jews under the 1917 Balfour declaration { see pages 1 to 5 Palestine Papers 1917- 1922: Seeds of Conflict by Doreen Ingram}.

Here are 3 excellent books that exposed British duplicity with the connivance of the French.
