Abraham Lincoln is one of the greatest US Presidents. As Americans celebrate Thanksgiving Day this Thursday it is good to recall that it was Lincoln who declared that Thanksgiving should be celebrated by all Americans on the last Thursday of Nov.
By doing so he gave unity to Americans to celebrate together with a festival that had its origins with the Pilgrim Fathers’ arrival in the US and celebrated at various dates of the year depending on which state one resides in.
