William Hague was a TORY party leader. His rise was meteoric after he impressed Margaret Thatcher with a fiery speech, age only 16 at a Tory convention. His years of public service was rewarded with a life peerage. He never became PM. Many aspire but few are lucky only to be elected. One can see this past tumultuous week in Malaysian politics.
I am more impressed with his skills as a historian. In my library are his two and only books. Both are excellent.
Did the father and son Pitts become PMs of UK?
