Mahatma Gandhi is the subject of many biographies. The best multi volume biography is the one by Ramachandra Guha.
If you read the 1st volume you will learn that Gandhi’s fight against the white government was greatly helped by the leaders of the Chinese and Tamil communities in South Africa. You will not learn this fact in the movie Gandhi.
