I needed an atlas of WWII with clear battle plans when reading WWII books as all these books do not have sufficiently big maps for us to follow the thrust of the advance.
This book is excellent. The maps are in colour and big enough for older men to see.
The battles are well summarised in text and gives one a complete picture in a page or two. I find this book useful when I read the 2 excellent books by Peter Caddick-Adams i.e. Sand and Steel (D day) and Snow and Steel (Battle of the Bulge).
