Lakehouse in Cameron Highlands is an excellent stop for lunch if one is not staying there.
The patio where one has the meals has excellent views of the lake below.
Christmas week is a good time to drive up. I drove up on 20 Dec 2021 for a 3-night holiday.
It’s a 2 and half hour drive from KL, and a mere 30 minutes drive up to Tanah Rata.
Lunchtime is from 12 noon to 3 pm. The fish and chips and char koay teow are excellent.
One should finish the meal with scones or homemade apple crumble or homemade apple pie and a pot of hot steaming Earl Grey. It is most satisfying!
