He is famous for his first words in his historic meeting with Dr. Livingston. What was his greeting to Dr. Livingston?
In this memoir, he admitted to graffiti on one of the famous Persepolis monuments.
He said ” …following the examples of many illustrious men, I wrote my name upon one of the Persepolitan monuments. ” (page 12).
When I visited Persia, I made it a point to look for this graffiti I found it carved with a knife on one of the guardian monuments at the entrance to Persepolis.
