In this memoir, he admitted to graffiti on one of the famous Persepolis monuments.
He said ” …following the examples of many illustrious men, I wrote my name upon one of the Persepolitan monuments. ” (page 12).
When I visited Persia, I made it a point to look for this graffiti I found it carved with a knife on one of the guardian monuments at the entrance to Persepolis.
