The Stamp Atlas

John Rossiter, Stuart; Flower

This book bought in 1990 from the now-closed MPH Bookstore in Bukit Bintang Plaza, also closed, is a sad reminder of the faded glory of stamp collecting.

In my childhood, this hobby brought immense joy. My uncles and aunts handed down to me their stamp albums. They would diligently collect stamps from letters received to pass to me.

As schoolboys in MBSKL Davidson Road, we would exchange stamps with classmates. Those were the carefree days of our rural KL from the 1970s to the early 1980s.

This book The Stamp Atlas was a wonderful find back in 1990. It is a useful global history of stamp collecting. Highly recommended.
