There are two wonderfully quaint churches in Cameron Highlands. Both date from colonial times.
They are All Souls’ Church (Anglican) off the golf course road, Tanah Rata. Initially known as ‘The Cameron Highlands Church’, it was erected in 1958.
The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Catholic) is at No 5 Church Road, Tanah Rata. It was founded in 1935.
Inside the Tudor Court was bought by me when it first came out in 2015. It is a refreshing read in the coolness and dampness of Cameron.
To those of us who had seen the exquisite Tudor miniseries on TV, we would know Eustace Chapuys the protagonist of this excellent history book.
Chapuys was the Imperial ambassador to the Holy Roman Emperor and King of Spain Charles V. He spent 16 years in the Tudor Court from 1529 to 1545.
This book gives us an insight into Henry VIII and his six wives through the despatches from Chapuys to his master.
