The Indus & Ganges: The two mighty rivers

Alice Albinia, Victor Mallet

There are 2 major rivers in the Indian subcontinent.

The Ganges, or Ganga the term used by native Indians, flows from upper India at the Himalayas from west to east pouring into the Bay of Bengal.

The Indus rises in Tibet, China flows west across India before turning south to dissect Pakistan to pour into the Arabian Sea.

These two books, Empires of the Indus and The Ganges and India’s Future explore the geography and history of the areas traversed by these two mighty rivers.

Both books were bought by me over the Malaysia Day weekend of 2019.
