A Moveable Feast is a modern classic written by Ernest Hemingway.
He started the book in Cuba in the autumn of 1957 and finished it in the spring of 1960, also in Cuba.
Thus, these sketches of Paris were written during the last years of his life. He committed suicide in 1961.
In this book, he sketches his recollections of Paris from the time he arrived as a young man in 1921, age 22, to 1926.
These short sketches of not more than 8 pages each, are his fond memories of life when poor but now written from the vantage of a successful life.
