Chinese New Year holidays is a time where I re-read my favourite books.
In school days from Form 1 to 4, I would borrow from my good friend and classmate, Cheong Chee Mun, his 3 borrowing cards for British Council and 2 for Perpustakaan Awam Selangor.
Added to my cards, I would stockpile 10 books to read at my leisure while enjoying the cookies, chocolates and popping out to see the lion dance when they come to the neighbourhood on CNY 1st day to perform in front of the shops. Those were the good old days in Pudu, KL long gone.
This year my focus is on Chinese classic novels.

There are 6 classic Chinese novels of pre-modern Chinese literature. They are:
1]The Romance of the Three Kingdoms,
2]The Water Margin (Outlaws of the Marsh) [ All Men are Brothers],
3]Journey to the West,
4]The Plum in the Golden Vase of the Ming Dynasty
5]Dream of the Red Chamber (The Story of the Stone)
6] The Scholars of the Qing dynasty.
