The Soong Sisters are the most famous sisters in Chinese history.
Sadly, the three sisters became estranged because of their husbands’ political beliefs.
For that reason, the photo here of Soong Ching Ling, taken around 1929 in Nanjing, is poignant. It links all three sisters forever.
On the photo of Soong Ching Ling is written: “To May.” It was signed by Nancy, Soong Ai Ling’s Christian name.
The best book on the Soong Sisters is still The Soong Dynasty by Sterling Seagrave, published in 1985.
