I climbed Penang Hill on 11 Sep 2016 with a good friend Peter Cheah. We left my Quayside seafront condo at 6.30 am and started our hike at Moon Gate. Suddenly a tropical storm threatened to scuttle our ascent. We returned to Moon Gate to wait for the storm to stop. Fortunately, fiat justitia ruat caelum intervened, and the storm stopped at 7 am! We then met a good Samaritan BT Koh of Taiping who was hiking up and he offered to guide us up.
This is a book for Penang hill lovers and for all others who love heritage. The photographs are sumptuous and the research is thorough. Gibby has presented Penang hill in its glory days to know which should inspire our younger generations to explore and conserve Penang hill. It is a joy to read this visual delight.
