This book is strictly for those who are very familiar with the writings of EM Forster.
It is also best to read this only after one has read A Passage to India and his novels written before the age of 30.
Part one contains all three of Kermode’s 2007 Clark Lectures. Part 2 is an exploration of Forster’s life and works.
