I can’t praise this new series on heritage buildings enough.
Here are 2 books on Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, respectively, published in 2025.
Each building is accompanied by a concise description of its architect, years of construction, address, and present use, with excellent photos to boot.
For KL, with the exciting recent completion of the renovation to the Sultan Abdul Samad building and Carcosa Seri Negara, with cafes, restaurants, and museums added, this book is a useful guide for tourists and locals alike.
Tip—Have a drink at the Spotted Dog or a meal at its Chinese restaurant, and you have a wonderful view of the renovated Sultan Abdul Samad building.
